It's the holiday season, which means everyone is busy, so we'll end both December runs within Narberth.
On Wednesday, December 3rd, we'll end our run at the Great American Pub, at Narberth and Haverford Avenues.
The orange route shown below is about 3 miles long. If you are interested in a two mile route, simply skip the loop around Near-berth and follow the purple route right to the bar.

As always, we meet on the steps on the south side of the Narberth Train Station and start the run promptly at 6:30 pm.
The ten day forecast is trending slightly warmer, so we may not even need our tights!
The Narberth Beer Runners is a free club, open to anyone over 21, who likes to run, socialize and drink quality beer. NBR aims to bring together runners of all abilities, encourage exercise, provide camaraderie, and support local businesses. The Narberth Beer Runners gather every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, to run and drink in moderation. We'll meet at the Narberth station, south steps at 6:30 and run to a predetermined local bar. The routes will typically be between 2 and 5 miles.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the Narberth and Fishtown Beer Runners who took part in the Rothman 8K, the Philadelphia Half and full Marathon!
The gray corral begins the slow walk towards the starting line at 22nd St and the Ben Franklin Parkway. |
It was perfect running weather for the Half and Marathon, which started bright and early. Despite the chilly air and sunrise start, there were plenty of spectators out to cheer everyone on!

The Landmark and December Destinations
On Wednesday, November 19th, we visited the Landmark Americana Tap & Grill on the edge of St. Joe's campus. The college kids gave us fewer sideways glances and didn't seem to care about a group of bundled up runners rolling into their bar.
The Landmark was lively, but not packed. It was a great setting for a few post run beers (and one shot)!
A few runners joined us for part of the run there, but chose to turn around mid way and finish their run at home. So remember, even if you don't want to go all the way to the bar, we always welcome runners who may just want to accompany us for part of the run.
In December, when everyone will be busy with family and holidays, both runs will end in the Borough.
12/3 : Great American Pub
12/17: McShea's
In January, we'll return to the format of doing one run in the borough and one run out of the borough.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Bundle Up!
Tonight we run to the Landmark Americana at St. Joe's!
It's going to be cold, 30 degrees at run time, so dig out your under armour!
We leave the Narberth Train Station at 6:30 pm sharp.

We're leaving Narberth...
...and going to the big city!
Sort of...
...Philadelphia is just across City Avenue after all...
On Wednesday, November 19th, Narberth Beer Runners will head to the Landmark Americana Tap & Grill.
We'll take about a 3 mile route from the Narberth Train Station to the bar.
Meet at the Narberth Train Station, south side steps. We leave at 6:30!
Remember, it will be dark, so wear some bright and reflective clothing!
So how does everyone get home?
The Overbrook Train Station is just a mile from the bar...so you could hop on the train there.
Or, the Narberth Train Station is only a 2 mile direct walk from the Landmark. So its not a far walk either.

November 5th…Back to the Greek's!
Every month we'll try to end at least one run at one of the bars in downtown Narberth. On our last run, we had a good time at Tired Hands. This week, we'll finish up at the Greek's.
We'll follow a familiar route, around the south side of Narberth, through Merion Station, around the Merion Botanical Garden and back.
The route covers about three miles.
As always, meet up on the south side of the Narberth Train Station at 6:30.
Wear bright clothes or bring a light…it will be dark!
