We are not geographers...

We had a great turnout on Wednesday with a lot of new faces! It was our intention to run the boundary of Narberth Borough...

Maybe we were all deep in conversations, or maybe it was just the allure of cold beers at The Greek's, but we skipped a few southside streets. Sorry Grove Place and Woodside Avenue...oh well, we'll make up for it next time!

Check back soon for details on the next Narberth Beer Runners run!

Border Run!

No, it has nothing to do with this guy…

The route for our July 16th run will simply follow the Narberth border.  Meet at the south side of the train station at 6:30.  We'll start by going over the painted bridge, east on Haverford, Northwest on Montgomery, South on Wynnewood, through the tunnel, left on Wynnewood, left on Rockland and back up Narberth Ave to the painted bridge…and walk it in to the Greek's!

This route is a little longer than usual at close to 3.5 miles. But feel free to cut it short at any point and just meet up at the Greek's!

Your Training Calendar

Have trouble squeezing training into a busy calendar?

Check out www.yourtrainingcalendar.com .

It won't make your life less busy, but it will allow you to easily import a Hal Higdon training plan directly into your outlook, ical or google calendar. Keep your training calendar with you at all times by syncing up your phone, home and work computers!

And if you don't know who Hal Higdon is, check out his website as well. He's been running and writing about it for over 40 years. His writings include 36 books, numerous contributions to Runner's World, and a children's book which was adapted as an animated tv program. His running accomplishments include eight Olympic Trials appearances and four world masters championships.

So I'd say he's qualified to write training plans for the likes of us.

The Narberth Beer Runners next run will take place Wednesday, July 16th at 6:30 pm. Check back here early next week for details about the destination and route!

It was hot...

When we left the train station yesterday to start our run, it was about 91 degrees. This is what we all felt like at the end...

Everyone have a happy Independence Day!

See you on July 16th for our next run!
