The Routes for July 2nd, 2014

It looks like its going to be hot on Wednesday, so we'll adjust distance and pace accordingly. We'll meet up at McShea's for a few (hopefully very) cold ones afterwards. All paces and experience levels are welcome, including walkers!

There are two routes planned, with a 2 miler shown in purple and a three miler shown in orange.

A great comic about running a Marathon from theOatmeal.com

Fourth of July is nearly upon us.

Why not run Wednesday July 2nd before the festivities begin?

Run starts at 6:30pm at the South Side of the Narberth Train Station and will be 2-3 miles ending at McSheas.

All levels and Walkers welcome.

Route to be posted early next week.

This week's route is a familiar one!

Meet at the train station south steps at 6:30 and finish at the Great American Pub.

Head down Haverford Ave, around the park, do a loop around Narbrook Park, head up the hill, across town, back down...

If two miles is enough for you, head over to the Great American Pub. Wanna do three? Then add the loop around Nearberth!

Thanks to Tyler for leading the run this week!

The Routes - June 4th, 2014

On June 4th, 2014, we'll celebrate National Running Day with a run to the Greek's in downtown Narberth.  As usual, we'll leave from the south steps of the Narberth Train Station at 6:30. But for this run, there will be two routes- a three miler and a one miler! Whatever you're up for!

Both courses begin by following Woodside Avenue towards Merion Elementary…

One Mile Course

The 1 mile course simply loops around the school, then makes a left back onto Baird Road, then right around Grove Place, back to Woodside and over the painted bridge downtown.

Three Mile Course

The 3 mile course also starts on Woodside, but then goes around Grove Place, through the Merion Elementary School property, crosses at the light, makes its way through the neighborhood down to the Merion Train Station, crosses under the tracks through the pedestrian tunnel, does a loop around the Merion Botanical Garden, takes Civic Circle to Valley Road, left on Bowman over the tracks, up Baird into Narberth, around Grove Place, back to Woodside, the painted bridge, downtown, beers… …believe me, its not as complicated as it sounds…
